It is well known that Cleopatra loved to bathe in Milk

For the team at V&M Spa, it is one of life’s little luxuries to start the day soaking in a bath. Discover our tips for the ultimate relaxing bath, and some of our favourite baths to visit in Australia.

  • Lavender Bath Milk. This is a must - made with Lavender from Bridestowe Estate in the North of Tasmania. The benefits of soaking in Milk is it gently breaks down dead skin cells, with magnesium to soothe sore muscles and Lavender to calm the senses.

  • Candles. I use tea-light candles in different shaped glass jars and old glass candle jars to create soft lighting.

  • Don’t make the water too hot. Keep the water temperature warm for a relaxing bath.

  • Massage the Lavender flower onto your skin. For a gentle exfoliation, massage the Lavender flower onto your skin using circular movements this will also help to release more Lavender oil.

  • Have a fluffy robe ready. Why end the pampering, wrap yourself in a fluffy robe while getting ready to start your day.

Baths To Visit

  • Thalia Haven. Located in the North of Tasmania Thalia Haven is an absolute must-see, is set on a private 130-acre wooded peninsula surrounded by the crystal-blue waters of renowned Great Oyster Bay. Thalia Haven is off-grid and has possibly the most stunning backdrop of all baths in Australia where you will find our very own V&M Spa products.

  • MONA. One of our favourite suites at MONA has a bath that cantilevers over the Derwent River surrounded by trees and peace and quiet. Watch light dance across the water as the sun rises in the morning. Another must experience.

  • Park Hyatt. One of our favourite places to soak with Treatment conditioner in the hair is Park Hyatt Melbourne. All of their stunning suites are fitted with an enormous bathtub and the bathrooms are luxuriously designed art-deco and marble.

  • Daintree Ecolodge. situated in the heart of the World-Heritage listed Daintree Rainforest. Wake up to the sound of the birds in the canopy above, while soaking in a bath overlooking the rainforest. Another must-see.
