What Is The Best Product For My Hair
We have created a guide to help determine what hair type and hair category you fall into, along with tips for what products we recommend to use for best results.
COLOURED HAIR
Coloured hair can mean so many things, and can sometimes be confusing to know what products to use. Foils, tint, a combination of both? They may need different maintenance at home. Hair that has light foils may be susceptible to brassy tones. To help keep your blonde locks bright and glossy start with a deep cleansing shampoo to remove pollution buildup. We recommend washing the hair twice, first with Balancing Shampoo which will help to break down product residue and pollutants, then with Hydrating Shampoo which will gently hydrate the hair and prepare it for the conditioner. Our Treatment Conditioner works instantly so you don't need to leave it on and rinse out later. We recommend combing the conditioner through the hair, this allows the product to cover each strand. Massage, then rinse until the water runs clear. If you have a tint we recommend washing the hair twice with Hydrating Shampoo, following with Treatment Conditioner. If you have a combination of foils and a tint try using a deep cleansing shampoo every few weeks to brighten your foils without damaging the dark tones.

FINE HAIR
Fine hair can sit flat to the head and need encouragement to achieve volume at the roots. To encourage the luscious bouncy hair we recommend washing the hair twice with Balancing Shampoo followed with Treatment Conditioner. There is a misconception conditioner will weigh fine hair down, which is incorrect. It is vital to use a conditioner on the mid-lengths to ends AND the roots of the hair to nourish and hydrate the hair and the scalp, which is important for healthy hair growth. Always rinse products out well before applying the next one, this will prevent the hair from becoming limp and greasy.

MATURE HAIR
After we reach our thirties hair tends to lose the luscious shine and bounce that it had in our teens and twenties. To keep hair in a bouncy and luscious state we recommend using washing the hair twice. Wash the hair once with Balancing Shampoo and then again with Hydrating Shampoo, followed with Treatment Conditioner for optimal hydration, shine, and bounce. If the hair and scalp are feeling on the dryer side, shampoo the hair twice with Hydrating Shampoo followed with Treatment Conditioner. We have clients in their thirties, forties, fifties, sixties, and seventies who all have shiny, bouncy and youthful-looking hair!

FRIZZY HAIR
Coarse hair can be a little unruly but responds well to hydration. For hair that is coarse or frizzy, we recommend washing the hair twice with Hydrating Shampoo, following with Treatment Conditioner. Apply Treatment Conditioner to the mid-lengths and ends working your way up to the roots, massage into scalp, comb through then rinse well.

WIGS & TOPPERS
Wigs are having their moment in fashion which is great for women experiencing hair loss which is common for many reasons. If your wig sits directly on your skin we recommend washing the hair once a week. Apply Balancing Shampoo on the side which touches your skin to help break down oil buildup, then turn over and wash with Hydrating Shampoo. We recommend finishing with Treatment Conditioner to keep your hair looking bouncy and hydrated. If you are wearing hair extensions or a topper you might find you can leave the hair longer between washes. We recommend washing the hair twice with Hydrating Shampoo, following with Treatment Conditioner to keep your hair healthy and hydrated.
COMBINATION
Hair can be a combination of more than one category. As a rule, we recommend focussing on the problem area you are experiencing as hair can change depending on what chemical service you are having, hormones and other external factors. If you think you have mature hair, have foils and the hair feels dry on the mid-lengths to ends, focus on keeping the blonde foils in top condition to combat the dryness, then asses the hair after a few months to see if any changes are needed. You may be lucky and not have to change the combination of shampoos you use, though generally, you will need to use a combination of shampoos over the year.
CHLORINATED
If you love to swim laps in a pool you may have chlorine buildup. If this has happened we recommend applying a handful of Balancing Shampoo directly onto dry hair avoiding the root area, rinse, then wash hair as usual. You may find you need to repeat each time you wash your hair until hair feels normal to help remove chlorine from the hair. Always use Treatment Conditioner to rebalance moisture.
DRY SHAMPOO
If you are a fan of dry shampoo, we recommend using a clarifying shampoo to break down product buildup on the hair and scalp. We recommend washing the hair first with Balancing shampoo followed by Hydrating Shampoo then apply Treatment Conditioner.
